I'm a fullstack software engineer at Hello World, where I work across the stack, focusing recently on rostering, data integrations, and performance so the app stays fast even on slow networks with limited bandwidth.
Before that, I spent nearly four years at Paper, where I grew from a junior to a senior data engineer. I cared a lot about data quality and making data accessible to the people who needed it. I built event-driven pipelines and real-time dashboards, and set up self-serve tooling with dbt and Airflow so ML and BI teams could build and ship their own pipelines without waiting on engineering.
I came to software from physics. I did my MSc at McGill in the VERITAS group, where my thesis used boosted decision trees to improve telescope resolution. Before that, I studied physics at NYU, where I worked with Prof. Andy Haas on a search for millicharged particles at the LHC, and with Prof. Martijn Cloos at NYU Langone on MR Fingerprinting and image reconstruction.
